Light a Candle
Deborah Jean Ann Sluder was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania in 1956 to Bobby Gwin Sluder (later Sr) (1936-1978) and Mary Beth Minnick (1936-2014).
In 1978 her step-mother, Carol, and father died in separate incidents. In the late 1970s, Debbie married Charles Ray and in 1980 she had one son, Joshua, of Hastings, Michigan. Years later, she married former Coatesville, Pennsylvania Police officer, Harry Alexander. She and Harry were very happy for the time they were together, until his death in 2003.
Debbie had been sick for many years in the care of her loving son, Joshua Ray. While battling Cancer and other issues, she lost her mother in 2014. She was hospitalized recently and then placed on a ventilator. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday July 21, 2021.
In addition to her parents and husband, Debbie was predeceased by her brother, Phillip. She is survived by hy her son, two sisters, Diane Calvert (California) and Josephine Cunningham (Pennsylvania), four brothers, Matthew Morgan (Ohio), Bobby G Sluder, Jr (PA), Daniel Sluder (North Carolina) and Thomas Sluder (PA). She also has several grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
